Countrywide Conveyancing Services is the largest single provider of residential conveyancing services in the UK and is part of the Countrywide Group. We operate from centres in Manchester and Cardiff and working with well known Estate Agents, Lenders and Mortgage Advisors we provide customers with a cost effective and convenient conveyancing service, making best use of the variety of communication tools available through modern technology.

We are now looking to recruit a number of Lawyers for a variety of roles to join us at our Manchester and Cardiff City Centre offices:

Property Lawyers
As a Property Lawyer you will manage the legal aspects of the conveyancing process up to exchange/completion and will be responsible for the quality of legal advice given and the delivery of service excellence to our clients.

In the role you will retain full ownership of the file up to and including exchange of contracts, including responsibility for due diligence, all dealings with other lawyers and other legal aspects on residential property transactions.

You will assess the risk on every transaction, utilising your skills and experience, delivering pragmatic decision making and legal advice to the customer and business partners, ensuring the best possible customer experience.

Private Conveyancing Lawyer
As a lawyer on our bespoke Private Conveyancing team you will similarly manage all legal aspects of the conveyancing process pre exchange and will be responsible for the quality of legal advice given. You will have a smaller caseload of exclusive properties and will focus on delivering a personal, tailored service to each of your clients. A legal qualification would be an advantage.

Resolution Lawyer
As a resolution lawyer you will coach, assist and guide Property Lawyers across the business on all aspects of the conveyancing process, utilising your extensive conveyancing experience and knowledge to resolve technical queries in a timely manner, to the customers satisfaction and in line with the companys policy and processes. You will also act as a mentor to less experienced members of the team. A legal qualification is essential.

In all roles you will need the ability to communicate and ensure implementation of company policies and procedures, plans and principles as well as ensuring that all activities and tasks required to be performed are undertaken promptly and proactively, prioritising and communicating as appropriate. You will also need previous experience of carrying a residential conveyancing caseload unsupervised and working with a case management system.

The successful candidates will need to manage client files, including financial information, ensure instructions and procedures are followed and maintain the use of the Firm’s systems. Suitable candidates will be client focused, flexible, organised, and with an eye for detail.

Training will be given to ensure that an efficient and cost effective legal service is provided to the Firm’s clients at all times.

For more senior roles, a Law degree and the Legal Practice Certificate will be desirable.
These roles may suit candidates looking for a future training contract to qualify as a Solicitor.
